Punctus
The punctus is a punctuation point that looks like today's period. Some punctuation marks that use the punctus are:
- punctus elevatus
Consists of a point placed above the base line of text with a comma-type mark above it to indicate a pause
- punctus flexus
A point with a carrot shaped mark above to indicate a pause
- punctus interrogativus
The predecessor of today's question mark. This mark has a squiggle mark above a period to indicate the end of a question
- punctus exclamativus
Like today's exclamation point

Looks much like today's semi-colon
